My funster friend out there a question if a motor home has a 7 year habitation warranty when new and is then sold with a full habitation certificate is the motor home still covered by that warranty and can it be taken back the dealer who sols it although it was sold by a different dealer any one know the answer

Don’t know the answer but I do know that many manufacturers only give full warranty to the original owner. Often reduced to the subsequent owners.

I think I'd check the habitation check history very carefully over the years and that it's been done by a dealer in that particular make or a recognised service agent within the stipulated period from when it was due. If there's a claim it's likely that's the first thing they're going to do before considering whether it's covered. Also read the small print to check that the warranty is transferrable what is covered and what percentage they pay of any claim and what the owner does.

Think it depends on the manufacturer. Check the warranty paperwork as it should include details about selling on. I think many only give a few months in which to transfer ownership of the warranty as well, but might be wrong.

I think many that offer a 10 year warranty reduce it to 6 for the second owner and that’s if everything has been done by the book👍
