We are in a position to buy another van and started looking at dealers aswell as private sales- Seems the RAC - Insurance Type warranties are getting adopted by dealers - What are peoples experiences with these - seems to be a way of distancing themselves from any problems? ie Not covered under the warranty - not our problem - contact the insurance company etc - OMC have this type of warranty which has made us wary of them - but just spoke to Camper UK and they have also adopted this with their second hane vehicles - shame as they were definetly one of the better dealers for sorting out any problems - Not rushing to buy as the very high prices do seem to be slowing the market down a bit with some vans sat with dealers for 6 months + - lets see?

I had an Audi TT with one of these warranties from a dealer, I think it was 6 months but it may have been 3.

I had a problem with the window, when we rang them they were excellent and got it booked in to a local garage and it was fixed straight away. That's my one and only experience!

Our extended warranty was dealer supplied, RAC, not worth the paper it‘s written on.

£45 per hour to a maximum of £500, all works need to be authorised, too many exclusions to list…if going for a new Fiat based van go for the Fiat extended warranty (only get 14 days from first registration to take it out, so don’t hang about).

Not had to use it, but won’t bother anyway.🤷‍♂️
