Rally Chat Warner shows

Hi, we are new to the motorhome fun group but have been going to the Warner out and about shows for a few years. I am watching out for when the event dates are open to book Newark and Lincoln next year. Can I ask if there will be a motorhome fun area to join next year? and do you have to quote a membership number to be included? Thanks in advance

I would be very surprised if MotorHomeFun does not have an area at any of the Warners shows in 2025. When the arrangements are confirmed with Warners, and bookings are open, Jim will post a link in the Rallies section of the forum. That points you to the booking arrangements and also asks you to confirm details to MHF so your marshalls have information and things like badges can be made up.

Members only for insurance purposes I believe. Forum members only get 5 posts ?

Hi again, I think I know what you are talking about. I used to come on the forum before then it said as I wasn’t a member and had used my 5 posts so I then joined the forum so can read and contribute as and when I want but I did read some where that Jim said you only need to quote your user ID name if you haven’t subscribed to the club if you want to rally at the Malvern show in August 2025. At the Warners shows it is preferred that those booking onto the motorhomefun area are fully subscribed members. But the Warners shows are run commercially and thus those who are camping have paid Warners to attend, and we operate under Warners rules for the site area. The Fun marshalls cannot therefore insist those in our area are full members. It would be at the discretion of Jim if name badges and suchlike were given out to unsubscribed.

For any rally that is being organised by a Funster attendees do need to be current fully subscribed members. That is to satisfy the Motorhomefun rally licence terms and that of the liability insurance cover.

As a side note, in the last couple of years, there has been a trend for some encampments to be getting larger, particularly if pop up gazebos are used. Warners allocate a 10m deep by 8m wide pitch, and that is also expected to allow some fire separation, and access, and yet pitches could abut each other. Kindly do be mindful of these limits as things can get challenging for your marshalls to get everyone in.

You do only have to put your forum name but Fun's insurance does not cover you unless a paid up subscriber. It will be the best investment you can make in your motorhome and also gives you access to all the Fun rallies and areas of the forum you cannot currently see.
