Caravan for 20+ years, New to motorhomes.
10 months into our first motorhome (AutoTrail expedition 68) could never get heat blowing onto my feet. Worked fine on the passenger side but not the drivers. Took it my local garage and after short investigation it turned out that the pipe carrying the warm air just blew at the back of a plastic panel to the left of the pedals. No chance of warming my feet. The garage robbed a vent from another vehicle drilled a hole, attached the pipe and voila, I have warm feet (see attached photo).
I find it amazing that any vehicle could be delivered from new with such a fault but unfortunately it is the world we live in these days.

That's a Fiat issue. It's designed for LHD and there's a few oddities for RHD. I guess the hot air still escapes into the foot well, just not directly at your tootsies. 😅

I got my rectified under warranty it’s a 2024 with the same issue but with an Adria 640 SLB.

I thought it was only an issue with automatic

I believe it is - certainly was in our case. Riverbankannie has linked above to the thread I started on the very subject in 2017. :giggle:

No problem with the previous manual gearbox version of the Ducato we owned - warm feet on both sides of the cab.

But, as has been mentioned, probably less of an issue on a LHD version.

That big metal thing on your pedals probably keeps it cold down there…😉😎

I did the same mod on my MH, just used 12” of flexi hose to direct the heat/ AC to my feet.

I think its a PSA thing because it's the same on partner and Beringo vans

Fiat Technical in Italy refused to do anything to mine when I made a warranty claim. Said altering the ducting etc may cause problems with other aspects of the wiring etc down there so simply said no,o even though I told them a dealer at Chester, I think, had done it to another members van.

Its an easy job to sort. Took about 30 mins to do mine.
