Waeco rear camera

Good evening, I have a Fiat hymer B708 with a waeco rear camera that works when you press the Alt button on the stereo but goes off when reverse gear is selected, the camera also has a blinker on it, any advice much appreciated

Immediate thoughts are it is wired up incorrectly.
The camera that is pointing downwards should come on when you select reverse and it seems that it is wired into the on board dash thingy in the 2nd picture meaning you have to change the source (alt button) to view it rather than having a stand alone monitor

We have the same but doesn’t always work, it appears to be the shutter that sticks, confederating the cost they should be excellent .
