Came to check my tyre pressures as we’re off for a jaunt on Saturday. Near side front tyre was 63psi and I run them at 65 psi. So I got out my normally reliable Von Haus battery pump and found the battery was flat. Plugged in the mains charger and the green led on the charger glowed. It should have glowed red. I took voltage readings of the battery on its own (12v) and the battery when on charge (13.2v). So left it charging for over 5 hours.

When I went to try the pump, it didn’t work and it still showed 12v. Is the battery knackered or is it likely the charger?

I would replace it with a cordless air pump that uses a battery shared with your other cordless tools.

Yes, I probably will as I’ve two 18v Einhell batteries for a drill and multitool. Disappointing as the VonHaus has worked well for 3 years.
