I m tagging a load of you who have had some form of interest in the voie verte thread to let you know that I have now created a journal that all the disused railway lines we have done are now on a map for ease of reference.
I ll add a few more that I didnt create individual threads for as I just noticed the London Paris route we just did isnt anywhere and Brittany and Medoc regions also dont appear so I ll find them in due course and add them.

There is no further information or photographs or hints that I have added, this is simply a journal that creates an interactive map on MHF so you can see whereabouts they are. I have selected one end of the route so the Vennbahn for example only exists in Aachen. It is an indicator if you are going into an area.

To view the journal click here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/journals/blog/the-voie-verte-disused-railway-map.307/
Then to view the map click here

Then you can click on the location and it takes you to a link to the thread that was created at the time.

My apologies in advance but I just tagged you as you had either posted or liked the thread

I ought to add that you can see the whole map starting to fill up now.
I appreciate there is only me and a couple of others who have added some journal entries but now the map is beginning to take shape perhaps some others can see the benefit of having the information to hand from a map and will do a journal.
I still have shed loads to put on mine and will make a nice map for me and my travels

Heres the map of where I have added so far from different journals

I m in the contemplation place of adding our non disused railway lines travels which are dam decent voie vertes.

It will only take me 20 minutes as most are already documented so I just provide a link and a location and a photo.

Because they are already on the overall map they will double the information but will appear on the disused railway map.

I LL give it a bit more thought to the benefits v the downsides as I kind of like a cycle map.

On some of them I can put a different location along the route as the pinpoint

Thanks appreciate you doing this for us all. Recently visited Lac du Caniel after your recommendation great site and cycling. On our to the Ardeche…
Thanks, also appreciated & v interesting. We've cycled and camped (w/o the camper van) lots of voies vertes in Normandy and Brittany. There are many good online resources for cycle routes, here's a couple you might already know about:

Bonus one for the UK:

And a Europe-wide one ....
