Vodafone just changed my contract and doubled the price.

Had a contract with Vodafone for 2 years. 100gb of data. No capping abroad. £20 a month. Got an email about a month ago saying this would increase to £22. OK with that but I decided to check my data useage for the month....well below my allocated 100gb but spotted my bill for the month had gone up to £42. Only spotted it last night . They never contacted me to tell me so will phone/ contact them asap.

It sounds like you have been charged £20 and £22 so may be a glitch or a payment timing issue?

I was on a Vodafone special through what was the Car Phone Warehouse at £22 for unlimited everything for 12mths. Just before that expired, Vodafone contacted me and said that they would keep the deal as is if I dealt directly with them. So I did.
I’ve checked each monthly bill since and the price has been correct that they’ve charged.
So whether they’ve made a mistake or whether there is a part on your bill which states what the difference has been charged for, it’s definitely worth contacting them to query it.

Round May/June, tariffs came down in price. Whether these have since increased or not I’m not sure.
But if they have, I wouldn’t have thought by so much.

Understand your frustration . I used to use Vodafone, but due to the fact that they increase prices after the end of the contract. Later decided to use the services of another company.

I had the same contract. The discount ended and it went to £42. To change at the time to a £20 contract meant I gained a roaming limit, at the time 25gb. I just walked to EE. I have 2 other Voda contracts that are circa £20 with 25gb roam limit that run out next year so I will look a gain then.

My deal was with Mobiles uk. My research found and even better deal than the original. 100gb for £9.50. Only for 12 months though and low cost requires cash back claiming but thats ok did that on last contract and worked ok.
