Hi all
Can anyone help please we are trying to get a covid recovery certificate for my wife to enable us to travel to spain, i can find links for outside companies that charge £99 but i dont seem to be able to find how to get one through the NHS.

Have any of you had to obtain a certificate and if so could anyone please provide a link as to where to get it.

Many Thanks

PS We are both fully vacinated with all 3 jabs

It’s not something that the NHS offers.
Oh ok so do you know what we need to do as in the details of visiting spain it is saying if you have had covid you must obtain a covid recovery certificate to enter the country

Loads online if you search on Google

What you on about we have both had all 3 jabs but if you have had covid spain say you need a recovery certificate
I presumed wrongly that it was evidence of covid recovery to be used rather than vaccination. I think as most people decide they're over covid by doing two lateral flow negative tests themselves the NHS would have no real evidence of recovery to provide.

Yes found that but wanted to know if this was a free option offered by NHS instead of paying a 3rd padty company, a bit like some companies charge you £10 to check your mot and tax but its free via the gov link

If you have a PCR test after 10 days it will/should be in your NHS App along with the normal jab certificates I believe, of course if you did not have a PCR then it won't.

Yes got that and you are correct it is on the NHS app but spain say this is not adequate and require a recovery certificate as far as i can understand it, it is a blummin minefield

Looking at the Spanish website it appears that if you have a negative test and are vaccinated you don't need a recovery certificate. I would ask the ferry company or tunnel.

This is what it says and forgot to say we are flying to spain

Must admit I’m confused as well now! The way I read it was that you only needed the proof of recovery if you hadn’t been vaccinated but I’m not sure at all anymore. It’s a real minefield as you can often test positive on PCR as well for up to 3 months even though you’re not infections really so that causes confusion.

Apologies.

I may be am missing the point but as you are fully vacced and she's recovered to you actually need a recovery certificate? Eg do you 'really' need to tell them she's had covid in the first place?

Its on the NHS covid app that she has had it so no hiding the fact either

I used these for coming back from Spain just before xmas and going Sunday so will still need to do a test when i come back as its before 11th Feb. Looking at the website it looks as if you can provide either test after 11 days since the positive test. 72 hrs PCR £54.99 48hrs RAT. 15.99. once results uploaded you get cert within 15 mins .
This from the SPTH website.

What validity do my Certificates/documents certifying vaccination, recovery and/or diagnostic tests have?

Vaccination Certificate: in the case of vaccination with a complete vaccination schedule, from 1 February 2022, this will be valid from 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccination schedule and will be valid up to 270 days from the date of administration of that last dose. Thereafter, in order to be valid, the vaccination certificate must reflect the administration of a booster dose.
  • Certificate of Diagnostic Tests: certificate valid if the sample has been taken within 72h (NAAT) or 48h (RATs) prior to arrival in Spain.
  • Certificate of Recovery: corresponds to a test no more than 180 days after the date of the first positive NAAT test result and no earlier than the 11th day following the date of that positive test result.
If you do not comply with any of the above data, you cannot obtain your QR.

looking at that she is more than 11 days since the positive test so i would get the RAT test . Good idea s to print all your docs off then if you get pulled it is easy to provide proof. So long as you get your QR code from them and carry the proof i recon you should be ok.
Edit
i filled form in online and got QR code easily and as i also had the app tried to load the code into the app and it wouldn't accept it . Also make sure you don't try uploading your proof docs to the Eu section as it wont accept them . .

This quote is extracted from the Spanish website : - https://spthm.puertos.es/

"From 7 June 2021, all those passengers from a country/area that has a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus risk, must present, a certificate or document certifying vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection or a certificate of Recovery after having passed this disease in order to enter Spain."

I've highlighted the ORs.

My interpretation of the above is that you must have one of the following :-

1.a vaccination certificate

2.a certificate showing that you have (recently) tested negative

3, a certificate showing that you have recovered (I think that there's a 6 month time limit?)

You say that you have document 1. so that's all you need.

We entered Spain in September and December last year on the basis of having 1. We didn't have an opportunity to show this to anyone as there were no border checks - but we didn't take that chance.

All this can be quite stressful at the moment but I hope you have a lovely holiday

Does that have to be shown though or can you just show the vac proof?

Has she done LFT test since? If so and it shows negative then the RAT test would be the one to go for as I believe that a PCR can still show 'positive' for some time after recovery.

If you follow the links to the Spanish site then look up entry from third countries it says this about the EU covid pass

"The EU Digital COVID Certificate may be of three different types (vaccination, diagnostic test or recovery) and any of them may be used by travellers to enter Spain, as long as they meet the following criteria "

As it looks to me you just use the vaccination record to enter. The link to a private supplier that you posted is for a recovery certificate for this purpose

,"If you have recently recovered from COVID-19, you may qualify for a COVID-19 Recovery Certificate to travel or attend events, instead of taking COVID tests"

I don't think you need to provide proof of recovery at all. When we travelled to Austria recently we just downloaded the nhs travel pass and showed the qr code. You could also if you want download the French Tous anti covid app then scan the nhs qr code in . I don't know about Spanish apps someone will know if there something similar.

Ok many many thanks to everyone who has posted and helped in this matter, it is a mind field and stressful but after reading your posts i think we were miss reading the requirements so it looks like we are ok as we have had all 3 vaccinations

Thanks again all

doesn't have to be shown but you need it in PDF format to upload onto the website ,without that you wont get QR code and you will not get on the plane.

I was talking about the actual physical test result itself (ie on the plastic test thing), not the result showing on an app etc.
