Just received a message from Virgin mobile that my Sim only deal will change in May to an O2 Sim. They are doubling the data but there will be a 25gb /mth limit for EU roaming.

At the moment I can ( and am ) able to use up to my 100gb / mth while in Spain so am looking for an alternative.

Popit mobile appears to be an option at £25/ mth for 100gb. What are people’s experience? What other options are available?

Thanks

I believe Tesco mobile will allow you to use your full data allowance for the remainder of this year, they were going to start charging from January then they put it back to April and recently put it back to the end of December and have not made their minds up about next year yet. It's worth popping into a Tesco Extra superstore and having a chat with an adviser, I have found them very helpful.

Not for new contracts.

As I said they have changed that policy, if you google tesco mobile using data abroad you will see you can use all your allowance in a home from home destination, subject to fair usage of two months in every four.

Edit: further googling says if you joined after 16th june 2022 you will not be charged for roaming for the whole of 2023 as I said.

That’s interesting, sorry about that.
