I’ve seen a YouTube video of an American using vinyl for van roof redo… any information on this method in UK?

Totally new to this forum guys but been motorhoming for 20 yes… please bear with me if I’m not with it!!
We were members years ago and this is the best site for friendly advice !

External roofing…they were using it on a huge Motorhome… I can’t see vinyl lasting … but it was a professional build … mmmm… thinking of redoing ours!
