Sorry this is a very technical question.
I Have tried and read what i can find, manual/ve direct protocol, but i cant find the answer to my question.
Are the values VE_H17,VE_H18 amount of discharged/ charged energy reset on a daily basis as is CE consumed amp hours or cumulative and only reset on battery syncronization. has anyone written thier own software for VE Direct use rather than just using prewriten programs. I probably will end up joining the VE forum or assessing the data.

It’s a bit beyond techie as in Motorhome related techie.

I can answer part of the questions, the values in query, in the standard Victron Connect App, show cumulative values over a 00.01 to 24.00 period, further broken down by bulk, absorption and float, so four fields to grab in a custom app should you wish. There is also a rolling lifetime cumulative energy created value in KWH, so a fifth field to use.

Is there an API for you to use already available from Victron?

I am only reading the Text output of the BMV712. I am not in 2way comunication with the VE bus.
From info in the VE direct protocol 3.25 and an arduino library i am reading the text output importing into serial1 of an Arduino mega. The arduino library does the difficult bits but was written for the bmv702 so to add 712 facilities i had to modify library a tad. I am particiulaly interested in the daily input VE_H17 as this is the only input i have access to. My MPPT controllers are votronics and there is no open source info on the votronics communication on the current product.
