I have just replaced leisure battery whilst solar was turned off (earth lead from solar disconnected). Once all connected I
then I couldn't see the Smartsolar in the app, only my Victron battery monitor.
So I removed the smartsolar from my network with the intension of loading fresh. I am struggling to 'see' the Smartsolar and when I went via the vrm webpage (logged in) when i did mange to get to the "add a new device" section there is a list if Victron devices by type but none of them say solar or Smartsolar?

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a GX device and internet? What other victron components can you see on vrm?
Have you double checked polarity upon re connection?
Is it a solar charger with external fuse?

Fuses all checked.
I have a Smartsolar 100/30 and a Battery monitor module.
They were previously both in my vrm network so temperature and real battery voltage were sent to the Smartsolar.
Polarity - only removed one cable so back the same way it was

Try removing your MPPT from your Bluetooth device name list on your phone, and then do a search of "available devices" to pick it up again.
I have had several Bluetooth devices that have lost their way and removing and searching again has sorted the problem.

When mine goes tits up I find switching Aeroplane mode on and off on my phone sorts it.

That's exactly what I resorted to but can't see the MPPT device any more ?
It's like the unit is dead?

Try switching your phone off and then on again to clear the registers.
I take it that your MPPT is alive with the LED's flashing or solid ?
I will try tomorrow with rebooted phone but no, there weren't any lights when I left today. I'll also re check battery end of solar wires.

Best to connect the controller to the battery first then the solar to the controller, then turn your Bluetooth off then on and if you see the controller but no connection, in Bluetooth press forget this device and then once you have lights on the controller rescan Bluetooth and hopefully it should come up for you to connect too….

Sounds to me like something very basic. The Solar controller is not seeing the 12V (or the correct polarity) from the leisure battery.
Have you measured the voltage and polarity on the solar charger output?

This is correct with one tip. Let the Victron controller "see" the battery by leaving alone for a good couple of minutes after connecting before any solar connections are made.
