Hi everyone

has anyone had any long term experience with one of the above

I’m asking mainly because a friend of a friend had his re-sited due to its noisy operation, it was initially installed between the floors in his lounge area but was that noisy he’s said due to fan noise and generated that much heat that he had to turn it off evening and night time.

I think ours will be installed on monday in a similar position so obviously not ideal if they are are noisy as he’s suggesting.

So has anyone and advice before we bite the bullet

Al 👍

Can’t here ours that’s mounted under beds in garage Al, and that’s from someone that in our first moho when the alde under the bed clicked on it would wake me up👍

I was hoping for news like this Ade

thanks a lot and see you both on monday, we arrive sunday btw

cheers Al 👍

Ours does make some noise (transformer humm then fan) when at full chat charging at 90+ amps, or delivering the power for hungry appliances, but it's in the garage and mounted on a small board that is less likely to resonate - so we don't notice it at all, at night whilst it is below our beds we're rarely doing those things so no issue, there is a silent mode albeit the output is much lower. I guess at night if needed I could just set the EHU to 3 amps max given I wouldn't need the fast charging speeds, haven't done so but should work I think.

Mounting in the garage is doable but then the batteries are approx 4 mtrs away so not sure if that will cause an issue

Nigel and Roger will know i’ve no doubt so we’ll found out monday

cheers Al 👍

Yes that's a reasonable run for a big inverter - better as close to batts as possible to avoid voltage drop/big cables.

Ours is under the passenger rear seats and can be heard whilst running flat out, not heard it at night in the bedroom at the rear.

First time the fan came on at full whack I was a little taken back, it has a fan and humming noise.

If you have the app on your phone you can quickly turn it on or off.

So we’ve arrived at RogerIvy & nigelivy place, it’s idyllic location is worth the journey on its own 👍

Anyway we’ve been playing with the dogs and then the geese decided they wanted to play as well 😂

It’s just a lovely scenic spot and i’m very envious

Morning everyone

well the install yesterday went very well and all appears to be working great

this is our 2nd visit to Roger & Nigel’s farm, first visit was to install extra 200 watt solar, Victron MPPT controller, Victron Orion XS 50a B2B and Victron 500a Shunt.

this visit was to complete the install with a Victron 3Kw Multiplus II, Cerbo GX with Victron Display, and a Linx Distribution box with isolator.

They’ve also fitted a 12v feed for the upcoming compressor feed upgrade, an external 240v outlet, external solar panel feed with its own Victron MPPT controller and that hopefully completes the electrical upgrade.

Roger & Nigel really do know their stuff and i’ll continue to recommend them to anyone.

Much better neater install using the lynx distributor than trying to save a few quid on cheap busbars 👌

Just an aside

if anyone wants my Giandel 2kw Pure Sign Wave inverter which has worked flawlessly btw, complete with cables to battery bank, remote and remote cable it’s in the classifieds or get in touch

Cheap at £150 and Offgrid Power Solutions recommended
