Can anyone help me to understand what’s going on here please? I’ve tried searching the site, but tbh I don’t understand the intricacies!

Solar is bulk charging your leisure battery.
White is bulk light blue is absorption and the darker blue is float ie the battery is fully charged.
Battery was last at full charge 2 days ago.

Thank you - I’m concerned as to why the change. The constant bulk charging has only happened over the last two days

I guess the solar output seems to have been declining - less sun more cloud? and is producing less than the van is using, so the charger stays in bulk. What batteries have you got?

Thanks you all, the odd thing is that the last two days have been very sunny, and we’re not using very much, only charging phones etc. We’ve two gel batteries only about 5 years old

You been running in deficit for the last two days. The other days, the panel managed to put back the used energy. Despite having sun , you can see it is weaker on last two days compared the previous days: max 50W vs 70W, and you probably used more, hence larger hole to back fill.

If the battery does not get warm during charging, then I don't see a problem, maybe a bit of degradation on battery over the years that's it.

OK well check the panels are nice and clean then - dirt, shadows, etc can have a dramatic effect - assuming the batteries have been properly treated they should be good for a bit longer yet, however for Gel batteries I would expect to see a pretty long absorption phase, and yours isnt!

Do you have the "Adaptive absorption mode" switched on in the controller?

I think so! Thanks for the info

Is it me, or do the figures indicate that energy consumption has increased in the last couple of days?

3 days ago the yield was 200Wh and the batteries were fully charged. 2 days ago the yield was only 70Wh, but the batteries were still fully charged charged. However, yesterday the yield was 200Wh again, but the system only operated in bulk charge mode. This suggests that power consumption had increased?
