I guess the solar output seems to have been declining - less sun more cloud? and is producing less than the van is using, so the charger stays in bulk. What batteries have you got?Solar is bulk charging your leisure battery.
White is bulk light blue is absorption and the darker blue is float ie the battery is fully charged.
Battery was last at full charge 2 days ago.
You been running in deficit for the last two days. The other days, the panel managed to put back the used energy. Despite having sun , you can see it is weaker on last two days compared the previous days: max 50W vs 70W, and you probably used more, hence larger hole to back fill. Thanks you all, the odd thing is that the last two days have been very sunny, and we’re not using very much, only charging phones etc. We’ve two gel batteries only about 5 years old
OK well check the panels are nice and clean then - dirt, shadows, etc can have a dramatic effect - assuming the batteries have been properly treated they should be good for a bit longer yet, however for Gel batteries I would expect to see a pretty long absorption phase, and yours isnt! Thanks you all, the odd thing is that the last two days have been very sunny, and we’re not using very much, only charging phones etc. We’ve two gel batteries only about 5 years old
