victron blue smart charger 3 way

i have the above mentioned charger but i havent connected it to my starter bat only my leisure bat.
I was advised on another forum it may cause problems with my vehicle electrics but after talking to various mechanics and an RAC engineer they say it wont be a problem.
Has anyone else got the 3 way and connected it to the VB and the LB.

Yes. Not perm connected just plug it in like any other charger but swtlitc The setting to LA.
