I recently received a text alert of a "crash type event" while the van was parked on the drive. As the front of the van is in close proximity to the road, the obvious thought was that someone had hit the van, but thankfully eliminated as there was no damage.

I had been in and out of the van a few times shortly prior to the alert and at one point I may have inadvertently primed the alarm, with the fob in my pocket, as I set the alarm off at one point.

In this state, could the slamming closed of the sliding door be enough to trigger a crash alert ?

Just wondered if you had the bonnet open because I had the same message with mine, but it was after I had checked the oil etc and then realised I had dropped the bonnet about 3-4 inches to close it, so I assumed the bonnet sensor had been tripped by this giving a crash report. Not had any messages since.

@steveski Yes, I was looking to see if there was anywhere suitable to put my new VIN sticker.

I hadn't considered that, as the alarm will have been switched off while I had the bonnet open !
