As per title, (and photo)

Last night the alarm and thus the lock on our van played up and it took a few goes before it 'chirruped' to indicate the system was on and door locked.
This morning, it repeated it's obstinacy.

Is it just a question of changing the battery or does it somehow need 'coding'

The key coding is not lost with the battery being changed.

As an aside we'll be at Avon bank with Peugeot diagbox if anyone wants to borrow it.
