Use of bike rack

Hi
Do anyone use the bike rack for other items other than bikes?
Going to Spain in August and wondering how to get the best out of the rack as we don't have bikes

depending on the length of your van you could consider taking the rack off for that trip and save money on ferry / tunnel tickets - we did do that on a tour round Europe when there was no point in taking our bikes and got into a lower price band for being shorter

You could fit a storage box if you felt you needed the space, otherwise great place to dry your smalls on your travels between pitches

Yes. On the last van diesel in Jerry cans. Aluminium car boot tables. Wheel ramps,type for working on the van.all darts of other tat.

Not taking but bringing back ... on our way down through France one of the supermarkets had a sale on with a brilliant wheelbarrow for a silly price so we bought one and it then had a 2 week holiday all the way through France before coming back home to the UK ... not sure what other MHers etc though the size or our toilet cassette was to need such a large 'trolley' to take it to the disposal point!

We did, we could see other MHers doing a double take! It wasn't a normal wheel barrow either, but one of those large plastic ones which has an absolutely massive tubs down to the ground, enough to take numerous loads of garden waste etc, still got it now!

Is that a legal requirement, been loads of times but never used one....... if a requirement then will get one now as I'll defo get caught now !!!!!
