On route to Cornwall and have just pulled in to the services near Worcester, for some reason my hab door will not open, it's on the central locking and I can hear it trying but no whatever I try it will not open. With the granddaughter and dog on board it is essential I get this sorted. We're away for 10 days. HELP PLEASE

Don’t panic . Have you tried opening from inside and outside ? Also try turning the ignition off and on a few times . More funsters will be along shortly to help .

Will it operate on the key in the barrel from outside?
There was a recent thread about a similar situation I believe it was a broken spring in the mechanism. But and here the rub! You need the door open to strip to access the lock bits.
Ours overrides the cental locking by using the internal door opener.

As above , try pushing the door while someone tries to open from inside .

Mines doing that silly intermittent thing, it’ll lock on the central locking, but not open again, so have to use the key to access from outside.

This will be the 3rd time I’ve had the door skin off and repaired. Usually one of the rods have popped out of the runners. Here’s a picture of the set up on my door. Last time I did it, I had to do it on a site, in the sunshine.

Hope it holds out for the holidays and have a super fantastic time of it all 🍻

My hab door central locking is a frequent hit and miss afair.
But my problem is usually the contacts in the door frame get dust or film on them.
It's a right pain
I resort to key in the floor lock, fortunately it's not a problem from inside as I mentioned the inner door handle overrides the lock.

The engineer who designed that obviously missed the KISS course in his/her training.

What is wrong with a simple key and barrel? N&B make ours simpler - one door, one key.
