URGENT HELP HEATING

two I have a copy of the manual
I plan on burning that if the heating does not work

I keep forgetting to say THANKS
THANKS THANKS THANKS

Andrew was the valve straight forward to source
did you do it yourself
How long a job and at what cost
Cheers mate

Sadly in my case it was an all-out job because of how the Truma was mounted in the van (a Pilote).

It took the guys about 5-6hrs to remove, fix and replace the Truma but the part itself was just a few quid.

I only managed to get circa 40 hours use out of the unit from new so it proves they can go wrong anytime.

Humour in the face of adversity: a noble trait!

the trumatic we have does not have a display panel so no error codes shown
just the red light on the dial
The flash codes are on pub on the boiler you have to take the small black plastic cover off the top to see it, and you need to observe the flashes very carefully.(y)

Hi speve Alan
can you explain more please

Has anything been done/changed since it last all worked correctly?
I'd be looking at the gas supply. You say it's Propane, but is that LPG (refillable)? It could be that you have accumulated too much Butane (from abroad). Otherwise focus on the regulator.
I wish you the very best of luck.

Hi speve Alan

Yes sure if you look at the the top of the boiler you can see a black plastic cover over the control box you just unclimbed that and you will see the top of the control board which should have a little light that flashes intermittently you need to count how many long and short flashes and in what order to tell you the code then look up the code in the Truma instructions to tell you what’s wrong.
I found best way is google Truma flash codes and you will get the chart you need.
Hope that of some use to you.

@Duck Truck Have added link to previous post for blink codes (y)(y)

Thanks two you have a point about butane left in
I will exchange the bottle tomorrow

two
is that a list of flash codes for the trumatic C 6002 EH ?

When I looked around the net I could find nothing that related directly to the C 6002 EH for flash codes but logic would say that you would expect Truma to use the same flash and error codes across their range, not guaranteed but more than likely you would hope.

@Duck Truck. What is the year of manufacture of your MH? I doubt very much if your Trumatic C 6002 EH has an "error code" facility. Our C 6002 certainly hasn't.

Good luck getting it sorted though. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Our van is 2006
Does anyone know any Trumatic service centres in the South Yorkshire area please ?

Digging out at the moment

Check the combustion fan for blockage. There are two fans - one supplies air to the burner and the other moves warm air around the van. The combustion fan blows air through a venturi and draws in gas as it does so: how much heat is produced is controlled entirely by varying the speed of the combustion fan so its operation is critical. There is no 'burner' or jets that we would recognise - the whole operation, as on a modern domestic gas boiler, is controlled by the combustion fan so any obstruction to its intake or blades is likely to cause problems.

UPDATE

IT'S WORKING :D:D:D

Left it on electric heating all night
Came out this morning shut it off and let it cycle down
as I dug the snow.
The in a break I switched to gas and fired it up.
it went through the normal cycle routine and fired perfectly.
My guess is Minxy was right

The gas regulator in the gas locker was probably frozen
and the heating on electric all night has defrosted it
and the gas supply is now sufficient.

Will try shutting it off again today just to make sure
Many many thanks to everyone on here who has offered advice
and searched for information for us
Your great
Kev

Just to make you two feel better ... we had a new boiler fitted at home over 2 weeks ago, since then we've had major issues with our heating system which other than the boiler refusing to start sometimes (it was old) everything else worked perfectly. Now we have some radiators not working in the lounge and study, fortunately though we have a flame-effect gas fire to keep us warm in there but of course can't heat it when we're out.

It's been a pain in the bum trying to sort it - the well established and reputable company now want us to spend more money on stuff that we don't think we need, and are not convinced would sort out the problem anyway since we've partly managed to sort it ourselves with adjusting stuff - they left some radiators turned off, loads of air in the system and basically told us porkies about what they had done ... so we've just told them to go forth and multiply and send us a revised invoice as they didn't do some stuff they original quoted and invoiced us for. Happy we are NOT as we didn't need this aggro especially with a poorly dog and the weather turning very cold (we're snowed in at the mo).

Just waiting for their response to our reduced invoice request ... I'm in the right mood for a battle! :sneaky:

Errrr, wasn't it what I said at the very beginning?:D2 It was too cold just like in mine. Obviously my hot fan did the job far quicker. Mind you it was just a bit under zero, not minus 20.

If reg stuck/frozen did the gas hob work ok with all burners running if so not a reg problem me thinks.

If left on hook up all night leisure batts would have had a top up raising system volts.

Gas air fan sticky when cold.

Glad it's working
