Maybe one for yodeli travelling through France and noticed lots (maybe most) of the village name signs are upside down. Can only think its designed to slow drivers down so they have time to read and make sense of the name or is there another reason?

Yep there's a reason
When we find something is going silly, or already being silly like let's say your child is being bullied at school and in spite of everybody knowing who it is, even if the pupils have admitted to do so, the headmaster will ask the parents to change their child's school. We then say : "On marche sur la tête" (we walk on the head) because obviously it's stupid and not normal that the one being bullied is moved instead of punishing properly the pupils who do the bullies. (BTW this is changing!!!! thank you Mister Gabriel Attal when he was Education Minister)
Now , as you might know, our farmers are being really angry with the governement at the moment. The way things work at the moment are not the way they should be. Working around 70 hours a week they have around 400 euros salary a month when they manage to have a salary that is.
"On marche sur la tête"!!!!! They are feeding us! We must provide food for them too! Hence the signs are up side down..... walking on the head!
