enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
I've searched the forum and found a couple of posts on original Fiat alloy wheels, but they don't really answer my question definitively. Mine are 16" with 5x130mm stud pattern (Maxi ??)

The motorhome has two plates, one at 3850kg (original manufacturer) and one at 3500kg (motorhome converter - Adria) so I assume I am safe to go up to 3850 on the wheels. I actually want to go to 4250kg and am in the process of fitting MarTech air to the rear.

How do I know if I can go to 4250 on the original alloys? I want new tyres, which will be rated at 120/121 so at this stage I would also change the wheels if required.

Thanks

PS I will be using SV Tech as VWA are still going through recert process and trying to get it sorted before April !

Have you got the 180 engine with the 9 speed auto if so that comes with the maxi hubs & wheels & brakes. Not sure about the 140 but I think it is the same.

I used SV Tech and in the correspondence with them no mention was made regarding the wheels ( I have 16" alloys), but tyre sizes were. I only went to 3850 so my existing tyres were OK

I have the 16's and rear air assist and uprated from 3500 to 4350. SV said it was doable but I had VWE actually do the paperwork.

as VWE cant do the certification yet, then i will be asking SV tech. did you upgrade your tyres aswell? i am looking at going to 120/121 rating on the tyres.

These are the Fiat wheels that will allow your rear axle to go to 2400kg for 4250kg all up.

We have 225/75R16 CO tyres rated at 116Q and were able to go to the above figures from 3650kg.

I only needed to add the air assist as I already had 16 inch alloys as standard. I could have gone to 3850 with no changes.

Ive got an Adria Matrix 670sc it's on the light chassis These are rated at 1040kg but these are on the light chassis with 118 pcd so presumably not yours. The ones with 130pcd are on the heavier chassis and rated higher but I'm not sure how high.
I think Vanweightengineering made a bit of a mistake when they did mine or didn't know the load rating as these are the wheels I have and I'm 4250kg. I believe they know now as they've since told someone with the same van they can only go to 4t.
