Any ideas current waiting time for DVLA to return new V5 after sending uprating forms and old V5?
Does it work like an s80 licence and I can treat the van as uprated prior to getting the V5 back?

Mine took less than 2 weeks. Did it July / August.

Keep an eye on DVLA site for tax/ mot status as it also states on what the revenue weight is. Once complete then this is updated, which can be a week or so before you get the new V5

No.

DVLA often get it wrong they alter the Revenue Weight but not the MAM. OK if you only travel in the UK but need it right if you travel abroad.

On my last van it took them 4 months to get it right.

By chance the other day I came across the papers I had researched on 'Revenue Weight', which is based on MAM/MPLM.

UK police would probably know that but I would not like to bank on that overseas.

Mind you, on Gov.uk tax check site, DVLA only show the revenue weight and not MAM/MPLM

In Sept 22 it took just over a week to receive new V5C when upgrading the weight.
