Good afternoon, we changing our lead acid battery for 2no fogstar lithium batteries 280ah. We have an existing electroblok ebl 290 do we have change any settings.

Are you sure it's an EBL290, I can't find any info on that model? The EBL probably has a mains charger built into it, and the settings for flooded lead-acid and gel should be OK for lithium, but the settings for AGM are usually said to be too high. Note that these settings are not relevant for charging from the alternator while driving, and charging from solar through a solar controller. These other settings also need to be considered.

The settings for flooded or gel should be OK, they won't necessarily charge the lithium right up to 100%, but that's not usually a big problem.

The mains charger built into the EBL269 only has options for flooded lead-acid (Blei-saure) and Gel (Blei-gel) batteries, with no option for AGM. The option switch only affects the mains charger, and has no effect on charging from the engine/alternator or from solar. The voltages for these two options are identical (14.3V for absorption, 13.8V for float). The only difference is that a gel battery has an extended absorption time of several hours, but a flooded battery doesn't. I think 14.4V is the recommended charging voltage for lithium, so 14.3V is just a bit below that. However it's a mains charger, and you don't really need a battery at 100% if you are on hookup most of the time. And if you're rarely on hookup, it won't matter much anyway.

There are several threads discussing charging from the alternator, whether a lithium battery needs a B2B charger instead of the existing split charge relay, and settings for solar controllers.
