Just to keep everyone updated ( or those who care !!) on where we have got to. May is a busy and costly month for my van with the 2nd year mechanical, habitation and Mick at SAP servicing but I took the opportunity to get a good look at our installation and what would be needed to upgrade,
First off, I had wrongly believed that I had a 140amp lead acid battery installed, I don’t, it’s a Platinum VRLA 145 amp AGM , in my own defence it’s in a concealed locker under the floor with the inventor installed above and I’ve never had the need to access it.
Following discussion with Mick I’ve installed a Victron BMV 712 battery monitor to enable my to keep a much closer tab on my usage before deciding.
For the info of other IH owners on here, we did measure to see if the Transporter lithium that Mick sells would fit, it doesn’t, too big for the locker, so take care!
So the plan is to monitor carefully for a few months, we are off to Spain for all of June, and then decide.
