Thanks Lenny, having the reading on an app sounds so much easier

An alternative to Victron is Votronics Duo controllers but no display. As lenny says the best approach is measure using a shunt either Victron smart shunt (bluetooth only) or BMV712 display and Bt. (bmv712 also has a very useful capability that you probably arent interested right now)

Victron MPPT, buy from OffGrid Power Solutions and get a discount if you are a subscriber on here

Another alternative is Mastervolt, some of the MPPT's have digital screens, they also do a Mastershunt as well. Mastervolt seem to be more expensive in the UK, used them a lot of overlanding vehicles so I can only say good things about the brand. Victron is on the MH, first real time using this brand but no issues either.

I fitted a Renogy MPPT controller with Bluetooth app. It seemed to be the best value at the time and is performing well.

Thanks everyone for all of the information, looks like I need to do some more research to see which is best for me
