Had a trawl on the web and found a Smarty sim for £16 a month, unlimited data but with a 12GB limit a month while in EU
sounds ok to me, any better??

Cheers

Have an old contract 3 that isn't supposed to be working in the EU (had put 0 spend cap on it outside of allowance unlimited) all £16 mth
But is working fine.

Went for virgin to use in EU, through money SM deal 45gb unlimited calls & Txt. £13 mth
Unused data rolls over, currantly have 89gb which will roll again in 10 days.
Works for me

I know it’s not unlimited but how about Tesco with 100gb data (calls and texts unlimited) but no Roaming limit. £14 a month with club card

Try ASDA Mobile.
They use 30 day bundles.
They have a fair usage allowance of 25gb roaming and if you are running low on data during the month you can buy more 'add-on' data at almost pro-rata cost.

You can load a bundle that suits your needs any month or none at all if you dont need any. Works on Vodafone network and all arranged through their app.
All bundles Inc. Unlimited texts and Minutes.

Me too 100g for £13.
..and me, £14 per month with Club card, unlimited texts and minutes, 100GB date per month which refreshes every month. There is no carry over of unused data in a month, so it's "use it or lose it" but I think it's a pretty good deal and the area coverage is very good with no extra charges for EU use. What's not to like? Heck, I sound like an advert!!:LOL:

Contract renewal at the end of the month and Tesco appears to be the only one not to have a 'fair usage' catch in the small print. Only issue with that is the wife uses them and I like to double or chances of finding a signal.

Forgot to mention, this sim will be slotted into a WIFI router/modem for mainly EU usage some UK, shouldn't make a difference to the sim deal,

Cheers again for all info...

That's how I use ours, just make sure you use it the day you return to the UK so that it registers that you're back home, then it won't continue to count days against your roaming figures.

Cheers

Just bought an EE unlimited 5g data SIM (£23 ish) and a Netgear Nighthawk M5. I went for the EE after researching coverage (4g & 5g).

UK - I’m using Smarty £16 per month, unlimited data and early test show no traffic management or shaping taking place, cancel anytime.

EU - I’m using Tiekom (Camino), look at my thread for the 300 Gb Tiekom deal. Just under €40 per month, again cancel anytime.

It can… lots of easy ways for service providers to adjust the data speed based on a phone SIM not being in a phone. Much better buying a data tariff designed for mobile data, or check for clear non shaping T’s & C’s

Currently using Smarty for a MiFi system UK only so far. Seems mostly OK and have streamed quite heavily. Oddly whilst in Hereford was getting a very poor quality 4G despite that it should have been a good service area - have they diverted their bandwidth to 5G, or perhaps too many other funsters were also streaming?

Tesco mobile sim did not work in my Huewai router. From another thread seems to be a bit of pot luck if it will or won't work, and Tesco apparently do not guarantee their sim will work in router.

I've just got a contract with ID via Mobiles.co.uk, I get unlimited calls & texts and 50gb data pcm for £12 but after cashback it works out at £7.50 a month (12 month contract), I could've gone for 100gb at £15 which comes out at £9.00 a month but as I won't use the 50gb and it rolls over to the following month I shouldn't ever need more than that.

If interested I can send you a friend referral link for which I'll get £10 if you take out a sim with them which I'll happily split with you! :giggle:
