How much depth in the chassis rails is required to fit an underslung tank please? We have a 2003 MH with Alko chassis rails and were advised a while ago that there is insufficient depth to fit a tank.....so left it as was, but the possible need has re arisen again and I'm looking to re visit the situation. Not at home at the mo' to be able to measure up but the rails are on a 2003 Burstner Ducato and the MH is 6.9mtrs long overall with a rating of 3.8t.

I think Basildog would be your best bet!

Hi Basildog .......just now in a position to give you some dimensions re the underslung gas cylinder......
The Alko chassis rails are 220mm deep approx. and the width between approx. 1000mm.
So might we be in position to fit something to replace the two 11kg bottles that we carry please?

Hi
Ideally give us a call at the office as we will need a few more measurements and extra information.
You will almost certainly get a better capacity of LPG in your existing locker than with an Underslung tank on the ALKO chassis .
