Un earthed type I

I just found this lurking in my shed in a box labeled "stuff"
A google search results in a type I plug but without an earth pin, for use in Australia amongst other countries. Can anyone enlighten me further before it goes in the bin.

If you aren't planning to visit anywhere which needs that type of plug then bin it.

A earth connection isn't essential, there are lots of double insulated devices sold in the UK which might have an earth pin on the plug but there is no earth wire internally.

As well as Australia, I think the pins should straighten up for America.
