UK stop over near Dover

[Ridgeway]

Looking for a stop over for 1 night before we take the ferry (Dover - Calais). We usually cross first and then stay in an aire on the French side but ticket pricing pushed us to am early morning crossing and hence the need to find a stop over ideally within 1hr of Dover ferry port. Don’t want a pub stop as we’ll arrive late and just take in our last fish and chips so ideally some where we can just turn up, pay and leave early doors the next day.

Any options ?

new dover road park and ride at canterbury. 20 mins from ferry terminal. nice pub a 2 min walk £8 for the night. Or Valiant salior in Capel Le Ferne.

we've used the Chilham castle car park before.... but like you usually rock up late, cross and then aire the other side

we would use canterbury park n ride get there early and hop a bus into canterbury for the evening

we've stopped at several places, 2 pubs and a site but imo non beats cantebury park n ride.

its our go to stop every time

+1 for Canterbury Park & Ride - New Dover Road. Free bus to Canterbury centre for a beer or two.

Stopped at Canterbury P&R on route to Dover.
We had not used it before but will 100% use it again.
Excellent with all facilities.

We're using the dog house pub stopover near ashford, about half hour from dover.
