Hi Guys

My wife and I (Aussie) are looking to buy a motorhome in the UK for extended travel. We are currently thinking starting next March - 6 months on - 6 months off. My wife has family so right for MOT and insurance address. We are looking at Motorhomes in the 3.5 to 5 tonne range. I would require an UK Class C1 licence and currently have an open C class licence 30+ years issued in Queensland Aus. Can I drive a larger motorhome?

Thanks

David

I think you can only drive up to 3.5 tonnes, if that's too small you would be able to tow a trailer or even a caravan. I have friends who visit Australia, they keep a 4X4 and a caravan there

To be honest it’s something to check with dvla in uk - try the link above, but to me it looks unlikely
Hi Guys

Yes I had found this site but is not clear other than to say small car. Does not give me a class of UK licence.

Thanks
