Just looking
Hi guys - new to the site and to motorhome ownership (so new we haven't even bought yet). We did find a home we liked - the specs were exactly what we liked but when reviewing the details of the seller "Uber Leisure" I noted that they said that they were selling to the trade only - which was a bit annoying given that they were advertising on ebay and gumtree. I have asked them directly about whether they sell to the general public and the response from the sale director no less was quite ambiguous "You can purchase from us if your intention is to sell the motorhome on at a later date for a profit. We have no bearing when or how much you sell your motorhome for." I have read elsewhere that their reputation may not be where it should be but I am very confused about this response and frankly it was a straightforward question which was met with a less than straightforward response which already has the red flags flying high. Look forward to any comments you may have and I look forward to becoming part of the community

Welcome!
Where is your Uber Leisure located? Google brings up 3 firms with the same name but in different areas of the U.K.
I see that one of their terms of motorhome/car sale is 'No returns, no warranty'.
You might find the comments in this very old thread interesting..............

Looks like they will sell to any but as they are registered traders they can't say that 🤔

I've previously bought two from to them and would buy again if they had what i wanted at the price I wanted to pay BUT check it over thoroughly. There is another thread running asking the same question, check it out?

I have been to the site and looked out of interest with view to buy it was busy and a weekend so would go in the week if I went back
I did witness general public buying a van
As Mister B said check the van over
I would take a small 12v battery to hook up to a vans Liesure battery if I found the one I wanted had a flat battery to be able to check things worked
To be honest they don’t clean them or fix them when they are up for sale so if you know what your doing you should get a bargain
If you don’t know what you are doing I would take someone with you who does
