My motorcycle tyres cost me about £330 for a pair and last about 6000 miles.

I've just checked tyre prices for the Hymer, 225/75/16 (120) Continental Van all weather £230 EACH. Last time I bought them 3 years back iirc they were about £160.
Why have tyre prices risen so much ? It's now £1000 for a set for the motorhome or £1500 on a 6 wheeler.

or go for a less expensive brand?

We just fitted 4 new Nanking Van AW-8 (All Seasons) and new metal valves for just over £600 (5 off to include the spare).

Conti & other top brands the prices have rocketed, the less known brand have hardly moved you get still get Toyo & Falken's for around £130. Both very good tyres.

That was a couple of the other brands we looked at when replacing (some muppet on her suggested them! ) last June.
