Hi All,
What are thoughts on this gluppy stuff that you get pumped into your tyres to prevent (or help with) having a puncture.
I was told recently about a firm that just put it in all 4 tyres and it has been brilliant. Unfortunately the company name could not be remembered. Anyone help with this please. I know you can get the bottles you carry around in case you get a puncture but this stuff prevents it by sealing any leakage immediately as you are driving

I have no personal knowledge but have read that some people complain of the glupe upsetting the wheel balance.

When you have a proper puncture that needs a proper repair you need to tell the tyre fitter about the goo....many won't fix it.
I've only used it once, in a motorcycle tyre and although the repairer agreed to remove the tyre I had to bring the wheel home and clean it up then take it back to have a new tyre fitted.

What puts me off it most is the risk of having some sharp object in your tyre for a prolonged period of time, being unaware of teh puncture as the gloop has sealed it.

Also as already stated, a lot of tyre fitters don't like it.
