Just had two new Michelin agilis 227/76/R16 CP 116q tyres fitted. Expected them to be the same 80psi at the front but they are labelled max 475kpa which is almost 69psi. Quite a bit lower than previous but I have been running about 65psi on the front anyway. Surprised at the change though!

What is KPA, I’m a psi man but can work with bar pressure?

kilopascal (kPa), one thousand times the unit of pressure and stress in the metre-kilogram-second system (the International System of Units [SI]). It was named in honour of the French mathematician-physicist Blaise Pascal (1623–62).

Max pressures marked on tyres only applies to the American market.
I don’t think this is the max pressure. It looks like the load rating (116) was previously measured at 80psi but is now measured at 69psi on more recent tyres. Perhaps I am reading it wrong?

Just surprised that supposedly identical tyres have different pressures stated

That’s a high pressure I run my fronts at 55 psi max

Took the pressure down on my front Michelin Agilis CP's to 65 psi and they are much less crashy. It was a recomendation by another well respected convertor of PVC's, but can't remember which, who quoted this pressure for the fronts for the Michelins Cp's.
