Feeling a bit stupid but can't identify the age of my tyres. They are Continental VancoFour Seasons. Van is 2016 and I bought it 2019. I understand there should be a date stamp after DOT indicating the week and year of manufacture but can't find it on mine.

There will be a 4 digit number. You’ve just missed it in the pic tho.

2 digit Week number and 2 digit year

That’s all I’ve got (look at the other side of the tyre  )

Near or part of the DOT code is where the date code would be usually 🤔

Bit slow on the uptake on my side - I'll have a look on the inside but why in god's name would the manufaturer make it that difficult. If the tyres are not directional then surely they should be stamped both sides!!

Finally stopped raining and checked the other 3 tyres. Found it on one of them so saves me having to look on inside. 4915 which sounds about right. Everyday's a learning day. Thanks

Don't mean other 3 have same date... even if bought as a set 👍👍

He might have bought them all in 2015 though
Yes he may have in preparation to fit to a van he doesn't get till 2019?
My point was even if bought at same time there is no guarantee they all manufactured at same time..

van is an autocruise forte 2016(PO16) and all tyres are same make and have pretty equal wear. Reasonably sure they are all autocruise fitted. Month or two either way won't make a difference. I have pictures from seller in 2019 of each tyre with thread showing. Loads of thread left, no cracking and the van is driven every week. Just thinking that coming up to 7 years I must change them soon. Shame really as happy with them(I know nothing else!!). I will check the other tyres but has started raining again and given it has been raining constantly for the last 6 weeks it may be a while!!!

Had my Michelin fitted new in 2013. Plenty of tread, no signs of wear, delamination, cracking etc, on both sides of the tyres. Passed all mot’s without any issues and Michelin say 10 years unless shown signs of failure, so why change them 🤷🏼‍♂️

Think we spend a fortune on tyres at the 5 year point. I’ll look to see what they’re like at the 10 year point and make a decision then.
