Hi all has anyone had any dealings with Tyne Valley Motor Homes near Newcastle? Friend of mine is looking at a Carado they have, just wondering if anyone has good or bad experiences with them?
Thanks

Run away mate wouldn’t touch them with your barge pole!
Really nice people but totally incompetent!
Avoid like the plague 👎
Would not use them again, once bitten and all that.
if your friend is looking it a good damp meter before you go

Not the most competent when it comes to fitting extras to a new motorhome. I discovered the mains cable to the Aircon was fed through the metal cab floor with without grommets!! Also there fitters aren't exactly bothered how they leave your motorhome after warranty repairs, I found old rivets, self tappers and debris not cleaned up.

Would I buy from them again, probably not although in fairness, their salesman Joe was pleasant enough to deal with and offered the best trade in deal.

Bit late to the party here but would say, as with any dealer document everything, when we ordered our then new Motorhome at first everything seemed fine, it then transpired that the sales team like many have little detailed knowledge of the product they sell. Like many I have a list of gripes in the way the sale was being handled. When I went to pay for the vehicle the sales guy had one price mine was a lower price based on our discussions in emails. I had a tracker spreadsheet the sales guy had disorganised paperwork, so after a slightly awkward conversation they agreed my price was correct.

Now from my perspective if there is poor record keeping at this level it is no wonder disagreements happen between sales and customers.

Nice people but poor processes and a lack of product knowledge. I suggested they may want to use a knowledgable workshop technician to work alongside the sales team and think most dealers would benefit from doing so.

Without being totally critical of Tyne Valley I would give them 5 out of 10. I think their heart is in the right place but my goodness there is room for improvement. But my guess is this is the same for many dealers. If your a buyer record everything.
