Hi, just looking for advice, have seen the adria 640 and globecar but then sat in the kingham with front lounge.
having read on here that damp and other major issues with auto sleeper thinking we should avoid
we have a transverse bed by rpmotorhomes which has been great but the old arthritis joints mean a lower bed is needed ie twins.
advice on how comfy is the adria for evening when you need to sit in camper or should we look at the malibu..but more money and not many around.was thinking of 2019/20 but very few about might have to be new one .... or do we wait 12 months ...... dilemmas!!
we downsized from low profile which has worked out well for country lanes and parking in towns But just need that bit extra from 5. To 6.4
thanks

We bought our Globecar Campscout 2 years ago after about 2 years research. It was our first motorhome - technically a panel van conversion - 6.36m long with lenghthwise twin beds that make up a huge double. (Beds are not quite the same length). Great for the two of us. Easy to get into and out of without disturbing each other. He likes driving and parking this size vehicle, but it can be a bit snug when confined indoors. We have a roll out canopy but not an awning. We tend to sit and play cards or read in the evenings rather than watch TV, which is OK. It is not ideal for lounging, but we can do that on the beds if we want to. If the weather is good we sit outside. After 22 nights visiting the Outer Hebrides in 2019 (our first long trip) we were more than happy with it. The washroom is a bit marmite - love it or hate it - and is quite snug for those like me who are of ample proportions. Overall, we like the fact that the van can be divided into two areas so one can sleep in or go to read while the other is doing something else at the table.

I could have written Red Shoes post. I love the bathroom and the high level fridge. Captains chairs comfy. Loads of storage. Any small camper best in warmer weather when outside more. If you’re more uk based then u lounge might be worth a look at if you don’t mind making a bed up. I do but many don’t.

Thanks both, we do both long weekends and 3 weeks around France as have friends over there so every year bar covid restrictions we get down to south France.
we‘ve 80% made our mid up between adria and globecar, think the oven may sway us, although we do have a romosca but need electric for that so the oven would be good when on french passion sites which we use mostly. we are fix bed converts having had a chausson previously with large rear island bed so never want to go back to making up beds and having to store bedding.... need the room for wine 😜

I thought not having an oven would be a major problem. Not yet. We did get a Ridgemonkey very early on and use it almost daily. On Monday I received an Omnia oven from a fellow funster and have made one trial cake which was delicious. Hopefully this will now keep us in gluten and dairy free cake when away from home. Part of the fun of camping is making do. Never had a non-fixed bed - it was our one must-have when looking - as much from the bed comfort factor as the where-do-we-store-the-bedding dilemma.

Hi there. Just got our new Adria 640. Not had our first night away yet however I have no concerns over evening comfort having hired a PVC for a long weekend. Re your arthritis best you check the height of the beds. Not an issue for us but they are quite high in the Adria.

If in doubt try hiring a pvc for a few days, Dicksons Of Perth hire a Malibu 6 meter with full length lengthways beds but in that van the payoff is the cramped washroom. At least you’d see if you can live with size and layout.

Good luck

My campscout has low beds, and a dealer fit oven, 133l 3way fridge, i like the adria, but i think the globecar is better built, the centre shower/bathroom/ toilet set up while somewhat odd at first, is much bigger than our previous A class, once we used it we both agreed it is very good, i doubt you would be disappointed with the globecar.

I like the Adria’s light airy cabin with white lockers and large front sunroof. Found the Globecar we looked at quite dark with the wooden furniture but I’m sure there are other versions we didn’t see.

Just as well we all like different things or we’d never get our ideal van 😀

The globecar are available with white cupboard doors, brightens them up no end.

Thanks everyone, did go to see the adria today and found the Highgate of the fixed beds quite high being only 5.2. And step quite flimsy and not deep.
was shown a compromise van ... that being the burstner travel van at 2.2 wide and 6.6 length.
love.y beds that even recline so know back to the should we get this. It does seem beautiful and so comfy.
any experience out there of the burstner t 620.
