The vision Plus tv in my 2009 Adria works fine in UK but in Germany and Belgium im not picking up any channels at all even with a full retune ,,,maybe is UK only ??? seems strange and yes its old now ,,
may need to update it ???

I have data so can get tv on my laptop but ???

Are you using a saterlite dish or just standard airiel?
If you have a HDMI socket on your tv I would invest in a Firestick.
I know it’s not a lot of help for this trip, but will be for the future.

firestick is a good idea

you Won’t get much with that then I’m afraid.
You said you have data,so a Firestick is definitely your answer for the future.
Bear in mind it will use about a Gb an hour, depending on what your using to stream.
Make sure you adjust the quality on each app ,eg. Iplayer,YouTube ,Amazon. Down from the highest quality.
And I tend to not use ITVX ,unless I’m watching live sport,as that uses a lot and you cannot
adjust the quality.

We got rid of our satellite and now use a Roku stick and a 200 gb data plan with RWG - used all over France and Italy - no looking back. Netflix, BBC, Channel 4 etc. Might be an option for you if you like watching tv of an evening with a glass or two of wine.

I'm in France and my Cello TV is picking up channels fine from my Maxview omnidirectional aerial. All brand new. Make sure you have reset the broadcast country to the one you are in and done a full retune. You need to retune every time you move. HTH.

Have you got the option to change the country for the signal? We made the mistake of trying to tune our TV whilst in France and hadn't changed the country option. Once we did change it, we got loads of channels. However, our aerial wasn't good enough for watching TV in some rural areas.

So, with the RWG 200gb sim, and the global network, is there no download limit, per month up to 200gb?
Your limit is the 200 gb a month. This is the highest gb they go to but we found it more that sufficient for all the stuff we wanted to do abroad, mainly streaming netflix and amazon, doing some work online, using the internet and using maps.

Would love to help , but you need a guru like my lovely wife , she just updated our 60 cm dish and avtex in France now have over 200 channels HD as well .

I’ve never had a problem getting tv channels in Europe just using a small magnet mounted aerial. What I have discovered in France by accident is that I selected UK as the country I was in and tuned the tv. I discovered that some programs were in English. I retuned the tv saying I was in France and the same program was dubbed in French, retuned to UK and hey presto back into English. The programs were American ones and films. I’ve got an Avtex tv.

Please read the posts. To my mind it's fairly obvious the the OP's TV is so old it is no longer compatible with the the current French TV system. As far as I'm aware it's a question of give up or get a new TV

OK so the Avtex and other TVs for motorhomes are ok, we have an Avtex but not sure about the dongle to use while touring abroad for internet, most of the campsites the internet can be hit and miss, any suggestions on a good dongle that is not too expensive while abroad and in this country. I may have gone a bit off the ball here but any suggestions would be good, we have a fire stick so that's fine, but also does it depend on the arial you use as well?

You can turn off the dubbing in the sound menu then you get the original soundtrack.

I d remembered the country change after the first failure then I changed to the correct time after the 2nd time.
We are in the back and beyond at the moment so will try near a town tomorrow

So a fire stick works for me obviously plugged into an HTMI socket on TV. On some occasions I have been able to run it using the WiFi on site. But on most sites the signal is too weak so hotspot off my mobile phone. Be warned though, this uses a heap load of data. Keep an eye on your data plan and note although some mobile phone providers give you loads of data in the UK, that might be capped abroad.
One final thought is, if you have a TV/DVD combo, the price of dvd discs are so low at charity shops it makes sense to stock up on movies etc. I particularly have stocked up on boxed sets of TV shows etc. Shops like CeX knock out discs at 50p each. Cheap as chips
Good luck
