I have a avtec tv not an up to date smart one in my Motorhome with satellite dish all works good can someone explain to me in simple terms for a simple person how do I use get connected a Amazon fire stick and using my phone for the signal it’s an I phone thanks

Firstly from memory you need an HDMI socket on your telly🤔does it have one? Then it’s as described above and even better if you also have a USB socket for power as well😊

Definitely reduce the playback quality (although from what I remember it was a little difficult to find in the setup sub-menus). It significantly reduces data usage and unless your TV is 32" or bigger you won't notice a difference in picture quality.

We use a firestick a lot. If you get a VPN you will be able to watch the BBC when in Europe and out of satellite or aerial range. Subject to 4G availability and sufficient data.

Simply lug in your fire stick ,

put your iPhone on personal hotspot

Go to wifi setup on fire stick and choose your iPhone (whatever you have called it)

Put your password into the firestick settings

Keep an eye on your data
I’m up at my static and that’s exactly what I am doing, my WiFi system from here has gone home to replace my Sky WiFi which finishes on Friday, I’ve cancelled my Sky so using my phone up here to test how good it is, so far it’s coped without a problem, I have normal terrestrial tv as well.
one thing is to keep an eye on the phone charge !

Virtual Private Network, I use Surfshark as you can use it across quite a few gadgets for the same price.

Using a VPN hides your location by using an intermediary location in the UK. Apart from being good security on public WIFI it means you appear to be in the UK and can use IPlayer.

Another point to note is that you might need a 12v adapter unless you have electric hookup somewhere. There's also a power adapter that powers the firestick from the tv output.
