On a good day, my solar panels will increase the voltage across my battery terminals. Will this affect the rate of charging by my alternator or mains charger? I’m wondering if they are sensitive to the apparent battery voltage and will reduce their charging rate accordingly. Or will the solar current just be added to the alternator/mains current? Maybe it depends on their IQ :)

(I’ve got a Schaudt B2B “Booster” and a Lithium battery.)

Your solar regulator should be able to deal with that and only charge when available or required.🤔

Typically a solar charge controller will make choices like this, but if the other unit is separately wired the charge controller will work based upon what the battery looks like, if it's at high voltage being charged the charge controller will see a full battery and not charge it. The rate of charge is set by battery voltage.
Some units can talk to each other or be set up as a priority.
A b2b unit can provide much more charging than a few hundred watts of solar so solar tends to be second fiddle and only used when the engine is off.
