Trustworthy motorhome garage Kent/East Sussex

After having poor service from the garage that currently looks after my motorhome (unfortunately not for the first time) I am looking for somewhere new to look after my pride and joy (money pit).

Most of the work I need doing is fairly minor but regular maintenance with the occasional major item, it’s a 2007 so it’s in need of some TLC.

Before anyone says DIY I have an autoimmune condition which renders me tired very, very quickly once I start any kind of physical work.

I am in Tenterden area and MH is stored in Rye so ideally somewhere not to distant from one of those places but quality of service is more important than distance.

Also interested in answers to this, as I am in West Kent. Ever since Johns Cross closed, there doesn't appear to be a workshop near me.

In the past, I have used Motorhome Workshop in Worthing, which is nearer you than me! They did an excellent job fitting semi air, and also were competent and creative in doing a few small jobs, that were just beyond my ability for me too be comfortable with.

I have used these in Sittingbourne for the last 15 years just for the vehicle mechanicals and MOT. They used to be just Burgess but I think Swale took them over. They let you have a courtesy car if needed for £10

I want Motorhome workshop to fit some of their excellent solar panels and Mppt unit etc but they say they are booked up until September and i need them fitted by 20th August , shame as they are only 5 minutes from me ,,, so looking for a really good solar panel installer ,,also looking for a good alarm fitting company that can do the job before 20th August

We use Tomsett, mentioned above, for MH MOTs and we used to use Burgess for Ducato mechanicals when they were Fiat dealer's.

For both mechanical and habitation work, repairs and servicing, I highly recommend Apex Motorhome Services at Meresworth, north of Tonbridge. Tom really knows his stuff, is very pleasant to deal with and his charges are very reasonable.

I imagine you know of JC Leisure in rye, there is Andrew James Motorhomes in battle, I dont know either so cant recommend them through experience, we have used Flimwell Garage ( In Bodiam ) for MOT's on our other vans, he seems a decent chap.

Would recommend Andrew James Motorhomes. Most of the staff from John’s Cross are there now. They refitted our toilet flush pump efficiently and at a reasonable cost

Another vote for Thomsetts near Sittingbourne. But they only do the chassis service. AFAIK they don't deal with the habitation part.
