Trusted Workshop for Damp Investigation and Repair?

May I trouble the good people of this forum for some advice please?

A habitation check last week on my 2019 Adria Matrix 670 SL returned damp readings of 20-21% around both the kitchen and bathroom windows. The check was carried out by a NCC approved mobile technician who I have used before and I trust but he doesn't have the means to remove the type of windows on the Adria so I need to find a workshop that can help me.

I am not the 1st owner of the van so there is no manufacturer's warranty, this ran out after 5 years (it would be 10 years if I was the 1st owner). I'm not the greatest van of the dealer that I bought it from so I'm hoping that someone may be able to recommend a dealer or an independent workshop that you would trust to tackle this job. I'm based in South Cheshire but distance is no object for the right level of service.

We’ve used Adams Morey body shop in Portsmouth a couple of times and would highly recommend. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they can help.

A bit of a journey from you but www.reliancecms.uk near Chichester West Sussex are very good and are also a Adria approved service centre .

I use;

RV Installations – Specialists in the installation of all accessories for motorhomes, caravans and horseboxes.

Alway found then honest and fair.

A fair trip for me but I have a motorhome so I call it a holiday.

A nice campsite close by;

Not quite South Cheshire. I was going to recommend Crossley Coachcraft in Leyland, they had a great reputation and I used them myself, but just found out the owner retired and closed the business last year. However he’s passed his warranty work for existing customers over to C&S Caravans who are also in Leyland.

I have used and recommend caravan and motorhome repairs at Walton summit NR Preston. NCC approved and do warranty work for several main dealers in the area. And don't charge main dealer prices.

Further to the above,
ALL (and I mean ALL!!!) the dealers in Somerset with exception of one, who happened to be the previous employers of the owners of Apple. (Sour grapes or what)
use Apple because Apples work is guaranteed.
If you go to any of the others in Somerset, you'll pay a premium for taking it to them because Apple don't charge what they charge. somewhere else

Good call GerTee, I was at Adams Morey for a Comfortmatic fluid change and reset last year and I'll be there again for the same job next year so I could make it 3 years running. I'll give them a call

Thank you weslsh cake lady, I'll probably be visiting Vanbitz this year for a lithium upgrade and an extra solar panel so I could maybe do Apple and Vanbitz in one trip.

Just picked ours up from M5 Leisure
Seal replaced after leak from large heiki
And awning rebolted and sealed after another…
We used Tom who does the work there for a long time - when he had his own repair business
Just off the M5 at Cheltenham

I think they were better known as Mullacott Caravans, towards Ilfracombe, then Covid struck!

RV Installations, to me, appeared to be the more 'technical' branch of the business?

I took my van there for Hab Checks, GasIT instalation, 12v supply issues, etc. It was a long way from Cardiff, but that's the joy of a motorhome - every destination is a holiday.
