Trumatic time delay

Our 2008 trumatic heater seems to switch off after 3 hrs approximately irrespective of what temperature it was set to. Switch off for about 20 minutes and all good again.
Not experienced this on other vans.Is there some type of safety cut off ?

Hi temp stat may be close to failing but usually when running on high? Or the regulator may becoming clogged with oil from the gas, have you a tank? And a good idea is to fit an inline filter
