just looking
I need to drain truma waterheater in my 2018 beniemar mileo 202 but can’t find yellow or blue switch and can’t find info in manual. Can anyone out there help pls.

Not familiar with your van but the frost protection valve is usually low down near the boiler.
There will be separate valves to drain the pipes and fresh water tank

There is usually a pop out frost protection valve (blue)which you could trigger and a drain valve(Yellow) Both next to the boiler. Ours is under a seat but obviously yours could be different.

Have a look under the van for a small pipe about 4 or 5 inches long poking down. A valve will be above it. It's usually near the boiler.

Yes, what you have in your picture is the red vent valve ..it is not what you need for draining down. The red vent valve allows air INTO the top of your boiler preventing a vacuum which would slow water drain, you don't need to touch it at all. The drain valve shouldn' be too far from the boiler ..I have seen some at the back of an outdoor locker but still somewhere fairly close and at the lower level of your boiler ..(as the emptying is done by gravity not pumped.

I might suggest you follow the run of the two red and blue pipes coming out of the top of your boiler , the drain valve usually goes on the blue ..cold inlet.

The way I emptied both my cold and hot water tanks was to make sure the boiler heater is turned off then turn both hot and cold taps on and let it run till no water comes out, but then don't forget to drain the grey water tank.

That doesn’t empty the pipes or boiler just means there’s no water to push the hot from the tank!

Ok thanks, you learn something every day. only had MH 8 months so still learning

Water always has to be drained from the lowest point in the MH. Taps are at the highest point above the tank level so will never empty the contents hence why you have plugs at the bottom of freshwater tanks and release valves level or below hot water systems.

not a proper complete drain down of boiler and pipes,
needs to be drained at the lowest point in the system.
hence the positioning of the drain valves to accomplish total draining

On our 2018 Benimar Tessoro 486, the only way to fully drain the freshwater tank is to reach under the van below the tank. There is a green screw cap. Undo this and get out of the way quickly to avoid a soaking.
This reminds me . . . must drain mine. 🙄
