I am experiencing an issue with my Truma Combi Diesel 6 heater. Yesterday, I only had the water boiler turned on when white smoke started billowing from the exhaust vent At the same time, the wastewater tank was overfilled, causing water to leak from the safety valves. I'm unsure if these two events are related. When I turned off the boiler, the smoke stopped.

After that, I attempted to turn on the heating using the Truma CP panel, but the heater did not respond, showing W255H code. I reset the Truma CP Plus panel, which resulted in all symbols disappearing, leaving only the clock visible. I also disconnected the leisure battery, but that did not help. I tried to reset the Truma heater, but I cannot find a reset button on this model, or it may not have one. The fuses on the heater appear to be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions or explanations for what might have happened?

Here is the Truma explanation.
Interesting that the D (diesel) version gets a special mention.

The diesel version needs more power from the 12V system than the gas version when it first fires up. If your 12V battery voltage drops it might well throw a wobbly. How many volts is showing on your leisure battery when you put a load on it?

Everything points to needing new batteries and possibly bigger ones.
