Truma vent

The vent on the sidewall looks very dirty between the two parts. It looks like the outer ring is held in place by two screws. Is it that simple? Or will undoing the screws cause some calamity in the vent? Bearing in mind it’s a motor home bit any damage will cost at least £100

They just unscrew without any drama but they quite tight.
