Below is a picture of our Truma Trumatic C 6002 EH heater that is mounted below our bed in our 2007 Bessacarr E560.
As you can see if you look closely at the picture you will see the board/piece of wood that the heater is mounted to on the floor is the white square piece of wood which is placed into a hole cut out of the wooden MH Floor , ( like a jigsaw piece fitting into place in a jigsaw puzzle )
Anyway my point is that i noticed that the whole heater and the white wooden base that it is mounted on wobbles / moves if you place your hand on it , prob like an inch of wobble each way.
Is this a normal typical installation , as in being mounted on a separate piece of wood , and also that it wobbles?
Or should i remove the wobble from the white base piece of wood.

Definitely should not move not with water and gas connections, it's probably too high to fit under the bed without cutting the floor out so I would look underneath the van to see how it's supported.

is what i thought , more so with the rigid copper gas pipe connected to it , as it could fracture.
I'll have a look beneath the MH tomorrow if its dry and see if there is anything visible from below the MH.

Hi @Bart me again. Yes we had exactly the same problem and you don't want to let it develop; caused a gas leak for us, fortunately noticed and fixed before any trouble.

The problem is the screw fixings to the white board, they're just not man enough. The board is (was?) quite firmly fixed. Dave Newell fixed ours by replacing with heavier duty screws, but it was a b-----d of a job. You may just be able to reach a couple of the existing screws and tighten them but it won't cure it. You may get better access by removing some of the outlet trunking, it's only pushed on.

Aww deffo will get a look at it next dry day , as today the weather was Shit to say the least.
last thing i want is a gas leak.
i wonder why it was just not screwed to the floor directly , as apposed to a base which is then recessed into the floor.

No real idea but frankly I don't think the sandwich construction of the floor itself is man enough to take it. Anyway, you also need a drop vent, which is just under the gas inlet connection - that's where our leak was, thank goodness, so wasn't quite as dangerous as it could have been.

I take it a drop vent is just a hole in the floor where the gas will vent out to if a leak developed?

Exactly that - ours has a grill over it to stop "unwanted passengers"!

I still have to get around to getting below the MH to check , been a bit hektik here of late.
