I'd noticed the clock was not keeping time and the heating kept going off, then today I was actually setting the temperature when the display showed "Init.." and everything was set back to "boot up" values (as if I'd just turned it on).

And then sometimes it runs fine for days.

It's intermittent, and I've not yet found a way to force it to happen (short of powering it down when storing the van).

There are no error codes, and apart from this everything seems to work.

Does anyone have an ideas why this might happen?

Picture of the panel for reference to the model.

The symptoms seem to point to a loss of power. You may have an intermittent 12V failure?

That does seem the most likely. In fact, I think this might have started happening when I had the solar installed, but because it was summer I didn't really notice it as we weren't using the heating. Maybe something got disturbed then.

I always ask on here because often I see posts from more experienced MHers saying "ah, that's always the xxxxx...." which cuts out about 15 hours of my bungling around ...

I'm having similar but not the panel resetting, but error e628 on the panel, then i can reset it using the button on the boiler...sometimes works sometimes not... (insuffient power for fan-combustion motor)
When I enquired with a truma Mr fixit, he asked if the solar had been changed or any possible surges ?
Loose plugs, or any wiring been changed.

There's a reset function in the panel menu. Have you tried that? Always wondered if it does the same as the physical reset push button.
Search in the CP under the 🔧 symbol.
There is, and i seen ages ago someone said it does same...
It doesn't for me.

I have the same issue on my 2021 van. I reported it at the first habitation service and they said 'it was fine when they looked at it'!!!!

It has become a little more frequent recently - and the panel is sometimes blank and unresponsive. When this happens, I've pulled the nob off, undone the screw and eased the panel out. If I disconnect/reconnect the 12v feed it reboots each time. Not ideal, but it's rescued the situation each time!

I've not had that yet, and the problem is momentary. It's just a bit irritating rather than disruptive, and obviously indicative of something being wrong.

But anyway, that's now been overshadowed by a tiny leak in the bedroom skylight ... oh the joy.
